SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it is actually alarmed regarding the substantial variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA website services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The support stage established for intervention encounters a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
